PROJECT SCOPING, VISIONING AND TEAM BUILDING WORKSHOP HELD FOR THE
FORMULATION OF THE MASTER PLAN FOR THE SUSTAINABLE URBAN INFRASTRUCTURE
DEVELOPMENT IN VIGAN CITY

In January 2019, the Project Scoping, Visioning and Team Building Workshop for the project, Formulation of a Master Plan for the Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Development in Vigan City (2019), was held at Richmond Hotel, Pasig City. The workshop, led by PRIMEX as lead firm of the joint venture for the project, was participated in by the project team, representatives from the local government unit (LGU) of Vigan City, and representatives from the Region 1 and Central Offices of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).

The formulation of the Master Plan for Vigan City will give due consideration to preserving the cultural and heritage value of the city. The Master Plan will link economic planning and development projects to the cultural/heritage and environmental and resource management goals for the city, addressing issues such as poverty alleviation, heritage preservation, public health, biodiversity, climate change adaptation, and disaster risk reduction with appropriate financing.
