PATHWAYS - COACHING AND MENTORING TO STRENGHTEN THE PLANNING,
M&E AND REPORTING SYSTEM OF MBHTE
(2022)
Client: Palladium International, LLC. - Pathways
Funding Source: DFAT - Australian Government
Contract duration: 2022
Themes:
The Education Pathways to Peace in Mindanao (Pathways), funded by the Australian Government in partnership with the Government of the Philippines, supports quality inclusive education. It is a flexible and adaptive program espousing education and peace building in conflict-affected areas, particularly in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). The Pathways Program engages and collaborates with a wide range of education stakeholders in promoting peace in education reform, and addressing inequality and disparity in education delivery, thus contributing to peace-building in the region.
As part of its current approved Work Plan, Pathways is supporting the Coaching and Mentoring to Strengthen the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and Reporting System of the MBHTE. Towards this end, Palladium has commissioned OIDCI to provide the required technical assistance to the Planning, Policy and Research Division (PPRD) and other key officials and staff of the MBHTE. This assistance, through coaching, mentoring and related capacity building activities, is expected to contribute to two (2) results:
- MBHTE staff are able to lead and coordinate planning, programming, and budgeting processes that are consistent with regional standards and guidelines, especially emphasizing inclusive education and peace promotion; and
- MBHTE staff are supported and guided by effective mechanisms and processes to demonstrate good planning, budget accountability and performance at all levels
In order to achieve desired results, the OIDCI Team will implement three (3) inter-related component activities for this engagement:
- Component 1: Co-Design Integrated Planning Processes and Standards for MBHTE
- Component 2: Co-Design a Framework for Integrating Education Plans at Various Levels
- Component 3: Provide Support to Strengthen M&E Processes, Mechanisms and Tools
OIDCI is providing the technical assistance services as part of its commitment as a Consortium partner of Palladium in implementing the Pathways Program.
