BRB: FOUR SESSIONS OF STAKEHOLDER AND NGA CONSULTATIONS HELD FOR THE BRB MASTER PLAN FORMULATION

 
Stakeholders consultation in Ligao, Naga, and Nabua

The OIDCI Team for the Integrated Bicol River Basin (BRB) Management and Development Master Plan Formulation conducted three sessions of stakeholder consultations in the Bicol region on March 26 to 28, 2014, in cooperation with the BRB Program Control Office.   The consultations were held in Ligao City, Naga City and Nabua. Mayors, vice mayors, councilors, and LGU technical staff were in attendance with various people’s organizations, indigenous peoples’ groups and water districts. The consultations were capped by a separate meeting on April 4 with national government agencies (NGA) and regional institutions, among them the National Economic and Development Authority, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Agriculture, and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples.
