SOCIO-INSTITUTIONAL SPECIALIST FIELDED FOR AGRICULTURE DEVELOPMENT
SUPPORT PROJECT IN MYANMAR

Under the OIDCI contract with Korea Rural Community Corporation, OIDCI President Herman Ongkiko acted as Socio-Institutional Specialist for the Feasibility Studies and Detailed Design for Improvement of Irrigation and Drainage of the Agriculture Development Support Project or ADSP in Myanmar. The project is funded by the World Bank. Mr. Ongkiko developed an approach for enhancing farmer participation through the Water User Associations piloted in project. In the photo above, he led a focus group discussion with stakeholders in one of the service areas of the North Yamar Irrigation Scheme.
