PILOT OF SURVEY PROCESS CONDUCTED IN SELECTED PROVINCES

Pilot workshop in Sarangani

The piloting of the nationwide water utilities registration initiative called Listahan Tubig has started in selected provinces in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The Luzon workshop for LGUs was held in September for the Quezon Province. This was followed by the workshop in Mindanao for Sarangani Province and neighboring General Santos City. In the Visayas, the provinces of Cebu and Negros Occidental will be the pilot provinces. Target participants of the workshops are the Provincial Planning and Development Officers, City/Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators and selected water service providers. The training workshops guided the provincial and municipal staff in the step-by-step process of administering the survey and inputting the results in the Listahang Tubig website.

OIDCI will roll out the training in 71 other provinces nationwide starting in November 2014.
