WATER SERVICE PROVIDERS NATIONWIDE COVERED IN THE LISTAHANG TUBIG
PROJECT'S ONLINE REGISTRY
Listahang Tubig, the nationwide water utilities registration initiative, has already covered over 20,000 water service providers. As of end-May 2015, profiles and other pertinent information on these water service providers (WSPs) have been uploaded into the Listahang Tubing website (http://listahangtubig.cloudapp.net/). More than half of the covered WSPs were Level 1 (point source without a distribution system); other WSP categories are Level 2 (communal faucet system or stand post) and Level 3 WSPs (waterworks system or individual house connections), each comprising around 20% of the total number of WSPs participating in this project.
Nearly 70 training workshops were conducted for the registration initiative, which were held simultaneously nationwide, beginning November 2014 until February 2015. The participants were provincial and municipal staff and WSP representative, who were trained on the process of administering the survey and inputting the results in the Listahang Tubig website. Over 100 enumerators were also fielded for the survey. The OIDCI Team is working with the Technical Working Group, comprised of representatives of NWRB, DILG and LWUA to prepare for the launching of the registry in August 2015.
