ENVIRONMENTAL AND SUSTAINABLE NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

OIDCI subscribes to the harmonization of environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and resource utilization objectives to enhance ecosystem and stakeholder resilience to climate change and other stressors. The strategies and methodologies we use to operationalize this principle include the promotion of community participation and equity, indigenous capability building, assessment and management of environmental impacts from a multi-sectoral perspective, and appropriate resource valuation which incorporates economic and environmental costs and benefits.
